Full review of Everyman Folk Club appearance here
Ros
Brady and Si Barron performed a brilliant set at our club in April
2009. We were looking for a good support act and had heard great
things of this young duo. All the reports were true, but understated!
What energy, skill, variety and polish this couple showed, professional
to the core and highly pleasurable to listen to. We are booking them
to headline at our club next year and booking them for Swanage Folk
Festival 2010. This duo deserve to go places. I recommend them to
anyone. Kathy Dunn, Wessex Acoustic Folk Club Chairman, Swanage Folk Festival Committee
Barron
Brady have remarkable talent. Their music has both vitality and
intimacy and their choice of material and song writing offers
refreshing honesty. Ros's singing has a delicacy which demands
attention and reaches into people's hearts whilst Simon's guitar
playing displays formidable technical ability. Their arrangements are
innovative and quite beautiful to listen to. As performers they have a
warm and engaging stage presence which make then a delight to listen
too. Not to be missed David Francis, Organiser- Nailsea Folk Club

Terrific...
Good songs well sung... I kept hearing things- Incredible String Band,
Nick Drake, John Martyn- lots of stuff and yet at the same time the
music is very much their own... very very good Mike Harding, Radio 2
'Two performers who confidently uphold the richness of the British
folk tradition with superbly crafted self-written songs and fine
interpretations of English folk song, beautifully sung with great
sincerity and with impeccable musical accompaniment. Their beguiling
lyrics often draw upon the stories, legends and folklore of the
South-West. These two are well loved by our audiences and we strongly
recommend them to all other clubs, large or small.'
Della and Chris Hooke, The Red Lion Folk Club 'Folk Club of the Year' BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2006
A
great evening of entertainment, wonderful songs, beautifully crafted
arrangements- superb. We’ve only once booked someone from just
listening to their demo and this is that time... sing about things that
matter to people Graham and Ali Willis, Organisers, Greenman Folk Club
This
effervescent and stunningly talented duo always leave our audience
feeling upbeat and wanting more. They are drawn in by the
exuberance of the performance which has great variety, flair, punch,
and energy. Their original songs are wonderfully imaginative and
melodic displaying a love of local country life and stories in the
finely crafted lyrics. They are great communicators with strong
vocal harmonies and brilliant musical arrangements. This exciting duo
is going from strength to strength and I highly recommend seeing them
live. John Culf, Promoter, harbertonfolk.co.uk

BarronBrady's
music works on many levels. It contains challenging ideas, interesting
life stories and imaginative language which makes it perfect for a
literature festival audience. The tender lyrics are matched with strong

Barron
Brady appeared at the Hambledon folk club in Sept this year, a welcome
return for this talented Duo. Barron Brady treated the audience to a
superb performance blending seamlessly interpretations of traditional
songs and their own fine self penned material. A quality performance
delivered with enthusiasm and energy, the audience loved them so I
rebooked them for 2009. What a talented duo. Rod Smith. Organiser Hambledon Folk Club.
Great new album, they've really done well, there's some lovely songs on there Johnny Coppin BBC Radio
This
duo has been out performing for a few years; they have developed an
original and a very tight sound to the traditional and self-penned
songs that they sing. They were great fun to have at the club, and with
their close harmony and excellent guitar-work from Simon, deserve to do
well and to be seen at all the clubs and festivals around. They are
young, enthusiastic and very different and really have something
valuable to offer. Folk on Tap Magazine
Two young and immensely talented individuals... they possess a vocal style that sends shivers down your spine folking.com
Magic.
Transporting. Soldier and Strange Harvest gripped me and won't let go.
Any chance of seeing you at Sidmouth? Please say yes! Smitten George Papavgeris
Simon
and Rosalind are two of the brightest rising stars of the new
generation of Folk singer/songwriters. These two young artists
demonstrate most clearly in their work the relevance of an old
tradition expertly employed to reflect a modern world, appealing
to both the intellect and the emotions Peter Reeves, promoter, The Blue Stage
